Searching for jewelry store robber

Suspect wanted in string of robberies
NEW YORK Detectives say the man enters the stores with another man, smashes the glass cases with a hammer, and runs off with the goods.

The suspect is described as a male Black or Hispanic, he is approximately 5'8" to 5'10" tall, with a medium build.

He has struck four times in Manhattan and four times in Queens.

Police say in each incident, the suspect with at least one other male, enters the store, strikes and breaks the jewelry cases with a hammer and steals the jewelry before fleeing the scene.

The Incidents by the Suspect are as follows:

  1. SATURDAY 07/07/08 AT APPROXIMATELY 1130 HOURS AT 150-24 NORTHERN BLVD. (COSMO'S DEPT. STORE) IN THE CONFINES OF THE 109 PRECINCT


  2. FRIDAY 08/31/07 AT APPROXIMATELY 1411 HOURS AT 37-09 MAIN STREET (CARAT N KARAT JEWELERS) IN THE CONFINES OF THE 109 PRECINCT


  3. TUESDAY 10/2/07 AT APPROXIMATELY 1300 HOURS AT 196 6 AVENUE (TIME COLLECTION OF NY) IN THE CONFINES OF THE 18 PRECINCT


  4. MONDAY 11/5/07 AT APPROXIMATELY 1830 HOURS AT 37-09 MAIN STREET (CARAT N KARAT JEWELERS) IN THE CONFINES OF THE 109 PRECINCT


  5. THURSDAY 3/6/08 AT APPROXIMATELY 1125 HOURS AT 135-34 39 AVENUE (JEWELRY STORE) IN THE CONFINES OF THE 109 PRECINCT


  6. THURSDAY 3/27/08 AT APPROXIMATELY 1220 HOURS AT 176 BROADWAY (WILLIAM BARTHMAN JEWELERS) IN THE CONFINES OF THE 1 PRECINCT


  7. WEDNESDAY 4/23/08 AT APPROXIMATELY 1155 HOURS AT 40 WEST 57 STREET (KENJO JEWELERS) IN THE CONFINES OF THE 18 PRECINCT


  8. SATURDAY 6/7/08 AT APPROXIMATELY 1335 HOURS AT 580 5 AVENUE (JAMES & CO. JEWELRY) IN THE CONFINES OF THE 18 PRECINCT
