Tuberculosis scare at Brooklyn school

BED-STUY City Department of Education spokeswoman Margie Feinberg says the paraprofessional - a type of teacher's aide - is being treated and is recuperating at home.

City officials say students at P.S. 25 in Bedford-Stuyvesant are being tested for the bacterial infection as a precautionary measure.

Feinberg says the tuberculosis case was detected in early June. She says a meeting to inform parents was held June 11.
