Report: NY home to worst bottleneck

NEW YORK A new study says the Cross Bronx Expressway has some of the worst traffic bottlenecks in the country - with average speeds of 9.8 or 9.5 miles when congested in two of the worst spots.

The report was conducted by INRIX, which provides traffic data for GPS devices and mobile phones.

It is based on an analysis of 30,000 road segments covering 50,000 miles of roadways in the United States.

The study also says that the New York metro area is the second-most congested, behind only Los Angeles.
