Bringing music to the masses. For one night only, two of opera's biggest stars will be performing for free in Prospect Park. Friday kicks-off the MET summer concert series. "My wife goes all the time I just called her on my cell and told her to get her you know what down here," said Roger Cohen of Brooklyn.

We found Cohen front and center taking it all in.

At the rehearsal before the big show, the Metropolitan Opera's annul summertime concert in Prospect Park.

"I never get a chance to see stars like this up close for this long and it's absolutely free. It's so terrific!"

A chance to experience the magic of one of opera's most glamorous couples. Soprano Angela Gheorghiu and her husband tenor Roberto Alagna.

The met has preformed here in the park before but nothing like this.

"A lot of things you'll recognize many you would never have expected. It's excerpts, not a whole opera," said Peter Clark.

The performance is part of the METS ongoing effort to make opera more accessible to more New Yorkers and expand the audience.
