June 19, 2008 3:03:34 PM PDT
A wild scene in Queens when a driver went on a rampage, leaving behind a path of destruction. It was a frightening scene as the driver, who works for the city crashed into a dozen cars before finally smashing into a police car on 185th street and Liberty avenue.

The irony in this story is the driver is an inspector for the NYC Department of Transportation, although he's been on unpaid leave for the past seven months. Witnesses say today he wouldn't stop for anything, no matter who or what he hit on the way.

He's identified as 36-year-old Ogie Ferguson.

Police believe Ferguson struck about a dozen vehicles, mostly along Liberty Avenue.

One accident victim was taken to the hospital with neck and back injuries.

After Ferguson's car struck a fence and police got a hold of him, police found a machete in the car and a number of prescription medication.

Police tested Ferguson for alcohol and drugs.

Charges in this case are pending.
