Students charged in laxative prank

Three high school students in Brooklyn have been charged with assault after baking a cake laced with a laxative that sickened two teachers.The three students at the Brooklyn School for Global Studies told the Daily News they thought baking a cake containing laxative tablets would make for a hilarious senior prank.

The trio were suspended and now they face charges of felony assault on a teacher, which carries a maximum seven years in prison.

One of the teenagers told the News he's scared and that he didn't mean for the teachers to get sick.

The three students say they got the idea for the prank from MTV's "High School Stories."
