New Jersey airports get federal funds

WASHINGTON (AP) - The U.S. Department of Transportation grants are going to Teterboro Airport, Greenwood Lake Airport in West Milford, Essex County Airport in Caldwell and Somerset Airport in Somerville.

The funding for the four airports includes: - $570,000 to Essex County Airport for repairs to the aircraft parking area and removal of runway obstructions.

- $261,350 to Greenwood Lake Airport for runway lighting, and expansion of the aircraft parking area.

- $150,000 to Somerset Airport for aircraft parking area repairs.

- $45,000 to Teterboro for evaluation of runway obstructions.

More than $15 million in federal funds has been dedicated recently for upgrades at New Jersey airports.
