Triple shooting in Harlem

HARLEM - The incident happened outside 1595 Madison Avenue at 108th Street.

Police say one man was shot in the chest and rushed to Harlem Hospital in critical condition.

The second victim was shot in the chest and taken to St. Luke's Hospital, where he is listed in stable condition. The third shooting victim walked into Mount Sinai hospital with a gunshot wound to the chest. He is also in stable condition.

The shooting happened at the same location where a child was grazed by a bullet at a playground two weeks ago.

The playground is located at a housing development on 108th Street between Lexington and Madison avenues. Police officers are still trying to figure out where that bullet came from and what exactly happened.

The 12-year-old boy was playing when the bullet seemed to come out of nowhere. His injuries were not life-threatening.

Some residents in the area say they hear bullets at least once a week. Many are calling for more police protection in the area.
