Family drug business busted

THE BRONX A son, his mother and his father are all accused of taking part in the operation. And police say when they made the bust, they found more than just drugs.

It was allegedly a delivery service specializing in cocaine, marijuana and prescription drugs, headed by Wesley Gagne and Patrick Graham. Police say 64-year-old Clement Gagne ran the drugs, while his wife Margaret acted as a dispatcher and coordinated things.

Authorities say drops were made in Yonkers, Westchester, the Bronx, Connecticut and New Jersey.

Undercover officers seized weapons and cash hidden in a secret compartment in one suspect's car. They found more stashed in the back of a medicine cabinet. In Graham's garage, they found thousands of dollars of illegal fireworks. In all, 19 people were arrested.

"In any kind of long-term case like this, we're looking at assets," Yonkers police commissioner Edmund Hartnett said. "It's a big part of what we do in a case like this. So we can send a strong message that if you get ill-gotten gains, we're going to take it away from you."

This was a year-long undercover investigation, involving Yonkers police and authorities from Westchester.
