Authorities say the pool was 4- to 6-feet deep, and the child was found in the deep end. He was reportedly with a group of adults, who were at a party at the 136th Street home. Sadly, no one realized that he was drowning.
The medical examiner says that preliminary information may indicate that the child could have had a seizure while in the pool.
Police say no criminal charges will be filed.
This is the third drowning in less than a week in the Tri-State area. In Fairfield, Connecticut, a 17-year-old boy drowned in a private lake Tuesday. And on Thursday, a nanny drowned while trying to rescue a toddler.
