PATH service resumes

PATH trains are rolling again between Newark and the World Trade Center. They were halted by equipment problems overnight. Train service also was restored in Jersey City on NJ Transit's Hudson-Bergen light rail line after a police investigation.

Scores of commuters got stuck at the height of the evening rush, leaving passengers searching for subway maps or shelling out cash for a taxi to get home.

Because the incident affected the 33rd Street station, in both directions, in-bound commuters from Newark were stuck as well. However, all service is back to normal.
