PATH service resumes

HOBOKEN They were halted by equipment problems overnight. Train service also was restored in Jersey City on NJ Transit's Hudson-Bergen light rail line after a police investigation.

Scores of commuters got stuck at the height of the evening rush, leaving passengers searching for subway maps or shelling out cash for a taxi to get home.

Because the incident affected the 33rd Street station, in both directions, in-bound commuters from Newark were stuck as well. However, all service is back to normal.
