Marijuana arrest at chicken joint

A Long Island chicken takeout restaurant employee was arrested by narcotics detectives Thursday, according to Newsday.Authorities say they saw 37-year-old Eric Mandel, of Merrick, selling marijuana out of the Massapequa store.

He is reportedly charged with two counts of criminal sale of marijuana and criminal possession of marijuana.

Newsday reports that while conducting an unrelated investigation, Nassau narcotics detectives saw Mandel selling two clear plastic bags of what they believed to be marijuana at Chicken Au Go Go in on Merrick Road.

After he was arrested, police reportedly found additional bags of pot in his possession.
