Q1-Why did you create the Simply College Program?
A1- Ask any family with college-bound kids about how they intend to finance that education, and you'll get a combination of high anxiety and high costs. Indeed, the subject has even been coming up on the campaign trail, with folks asking Senators McCain and Obama for advice on what to do.

Q2-Why can't people just get all the information they need from their guidance counselor?
A2- High school counselors are overwhelmed with other responsibilities that leaves them with little time to offer any guidance.

    Q3-How does Simply College help?
A3- The good news is that there is now a simple "roadmap" to navigate that complicated and challenging process, and it can be found at, the brainchild of Charlene Haykel.

By way of background, Charlene has had a successful career in the unusual field of Simplification....pioneering the simplification of language in the financial services industry, bringing clarity out of "legalese" in everything from mutual fund prospectuses to annual reports. And it was that concern for simplification that brought her to the challenge of easing the process of getting student financial aid.

    Q4- What about the internet?
A4- Of course, there are always college loans, but the route to getting them is extremely complicated and all too often results in a bad loan with bad terms.

  • The financial aid simplified workbook is $30.
