Robbers posing as police officers broke into a Staten Island home, terrifying the woman inside. There is now a massive manhunt near the crime scene for the two suspects. The incident took place in New Springville.

Investigators removed evidence and say at 10:45 p.m. four men rang the doorbell at 291 Merrymount Street, telling the babysitter who answered the door that they were there to arrest the homeowner.

She told the men that he wasn't home, and they burst into the house, binding her and locking her in the bathroom.

Eyewitness News has learned two of the suspects flashed a police officer shield, and one of the suspects showed a handgun.

Noone was seriously injured in the incident.
