Lightning to blame for warehouse fire?

LITTLE FERRY Officials say the fire broke out inside Latta Graphics Incorporated at 20 Poplar Avenue just after 1 a.m. The owner of the business said she locked up for the night and left -- and then the blaze broke out.

Heavy fire that could been seen from the New Jersey Turnpike quickly devoured the one-story structure.

Eyewitness News is told the flames spread to another industrial building, and firefighters were forced to battle the blaze from the outside. Paint and other flammable materials apparently were fueling the flames.

Fire officials are investigating if lightning was the cause of the fire, although they said it is too early to know.

Firefighters said nearby lightning strikes were reported, including one on Route 46.
