Man arrested at Midtown office

NEW YORK Security tried to stop the man before he walked through the door at 232 Madison Avenue. Eyewitness says they saw the man muscle his way inside, determined to get in the building.

The doorman told office workers that he saw a gun, and everyone was ordered to lock their doors until police resolved the situation.

The suspect was taken into custody after police reportedly found him holed up in a bathroom.

A worker says the man told security he knew where he was going and that he had been there before.

"He was a very violent and determined individual," witness Ben Aufill said. "I don't think I've seen that kind of behavior personally before. I think whatever the police did today definitely stopped a situation from being far worse."

No one was injured and no shots were fired. Police are reportedly investigating a garage up the street where it is believed the suspect parked his car.
