Three men were arrested early Monday morning after police say they assaulted and stabbed a Huntington Station man. Authorities say 27-year-old David Yanes went to the 7-11 store located at 328 Depot Road in Huntington Station for coffee with three friends. The group reportedly had a verbal argument with three other men in the parking lot of the store, which escalated into a fist fight at 4:23 a.m.

During the fight, police say Yanes was stabbed in the left side with a folding knife. He was taken to Huntington Hospital for treatment.

A short time later, police stopped a gray Honda that matched a description given by witnesses and found a knife in the car.

Police say 18-year-old Detis Lazo, 25-year-old Lazaro Martinez and 23-year-old Julio Amaya were arrested and charged with first-degree gang assault.
