Sharpton's daughter hit by car

HARLEM Officials say Dominique Sharpton was hospitalized after the Wednesday afternoon crash just outside the building on West 145th Street.

Sharpton's spokeswoman said his daughter was "hit by a car the day before yesterday while outside of National Action Network's headquarters in Harlem while walking with two co-workers. A car pulled into the gas station at full speed and she was pinned to the car. Her father rushed home and she is on crutches with several stitches but she is fine and grateful for the outpouring of support from around the country."

Dominique Sharpton celebrated her 22nd birthday the day after the crash.
