Suspect sought in gas station shooting

Police are looking for two bandits who robbed and then shot a gas station attendant. The robbery happened at 1:35 Sunday morning at the Courtest Shell Station on ST-6 in Cortlandt Manor.

According to investigators, one of the bandits displayed a silver or stainless firearm and demanded money from the clerk. He was identified as Muhanad Hilal Awadallah, 19, of Mohegan Lake resident.

Awadallah did not resist, handing over $390 in cash. The suspects then, for no apparent reason, shot him in the leg and fled the scene on foot.

Awadallah was taken to Westchester Medical Center. He was listed in stable condition on Monday.
