The divorce filing states their marriage had "become insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities."
"We can confirm that the divorce is final. They remain the best of friends and their family is obviously the priority," a spokesperson for the Dixie Chicks said in an e-mail to The Associated Press on Thursday.
A spokesman for Charlie Robison, an independent singer-songwriter from Bandera, also said their family remains the priority, but he declined further comment.
The couple, married in 1999, have three children.
