Shots fired at judge's home

QUEENS - Judge Fernando Comacho had little to say as he left his Queens home.

Someone opened fire at the home near 232nd Street and 67th Avenue in Oakland Gardens before dawn.

Why someone would open fire on the modest Cape Cod home is the question at the center of a police investigation. Was it random or was the judge targeted?

A 14-year-old girl called 911 when she and her family heard the shots ring out around 4:00 a.m.

At least two bullet holes were visible in the home's facade. Officers pinpointed several shell casings scattered along the street.

Neighbors say the judge and his wife were away at the time. No one was hurt, but everyone in the community is on edge.
