Vigil for girl swept away in Niagara River

An emotional candlelight vigil was held Wednesday for a 12-year-old girl from the Bronx who drowned beneath Niagara Falls.The parents of Magdelena Lubowska prayed for their daughter at the exact spot where she vanished last Thursday.

The girl was hiking with her church group in a gorge beneath the falls. State police believe she fell off a rock and was swept away by the Niagara River rapids.

Her body has not been found.

Her parents are demanding a criminal investigation into their daughter's death.
