The mystery man who calls himself Clark Rockefeller and is suspected of kidnapping his daughter in Boston is still not talking about his life before 1993.Police say he kidnapped his young daughter off a Boston street during a supervised visit in July.

The man who authorities say really is a German immigrant named Christian Gerhartsreiter tells The Boston Globe he decided to take his daughter only the day before.

Authorities maintain he spent months planning the action. He was arrested in Baltimore with his daughter.

Although he deflects questions about what he did before 1993, Gerhartsreiter tells the Boston newspaper in a jail interview that he speaks seven languages and is working on a historical novel about the roots of Israeli statehood.
