Authorities in Bergen County are searching for additional remains after construction workers found a human skull in a pile of fill at a county park. The skull was discovered Monday in a pile of dredge material being used to cover an old landfill at Overpeck County Park.

Authorities believe the skull may have come from material dredged from the Hudson River, although officials of the company supervising the project were checking their records to confirm it.

Bergen County Prosecutor John Molinelli said his office is working to determine the identity of the deceased.
