Cameras found in tenants' smoke detectors

FRANKLIN SQUARE Police say the devices--were rigged with video cameras and were installed in an apartment he was renting to two women.

The landlord, 44-year-old Michael Muratore lives on the first floor of the home located at 849 Second Ave., in Franklin Square.

The cameras were reportedly discovered as the women moved in, and had the smoke detectors checked.

He is being charged with two counts of Unlawful Surveillance 2M Degree and and will be arraigned today.
