Harlem gunfire kills boy, 13

HARLEM - The shooting happened at 7:30 Friday night in front of 108 West 144th Street.

Investigators said an argument among teenagers escalated into violence. One of them pulled a gun and started shooting.

Police found the 13-year-old, identified as Scott Scotty of Manhattan, and another teen shot on the sidewalk.

Scotty was shot in the chest. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The second victim, a 16-year-old boy, suffered a graze wound to his neck.

He was listed in stable condition at the hospital.

Investigators later learned that an 18-year-old young man was driven to the hospital. He had suffered gunshot wounds to the leg. He was also listed in stable condition.

Witnesses gave police information about the shooter, but he remained at large..
