Man shot to death in Connecticut

STAMFORD The body was found face down in a grassy area on Garden Street at about 8:30 a.m. Wednesday.

The victim has been identified as 26-year-old Jonathan Green. Police confirm he was shot to death.

Family members tells Eyewitness News reporter Marcus Solis that Green was three credits shy of graduating from college. He was going to be a teacher, majoring in secondary education, and was engaged, according to the family. The father of two was shot to death on his birthday.

He was reportedly in the neighborhood visiting his cousins to celebrate the day. Family members say he had no problems with the law beyond maybe a speeding ticket, but the Stamford Police Department says he has been arrested five times dating back to 2003.
