Baby found dead in bathtub in NYC

NEW YORK Cheyenne Holmes of Staten Island was charged Monday with endangering the welfare of a child. The infant, Kelis Gilmore, was discovered in the bathtub Sunday night, and pronounced dead at a hospital.

Authorities say Holmes' two other children, a 7-year-old boy and 4-year-old daughter, were home at the time.

A spokesman for the district attorney's office says that formal charges against Holmes are awaiting autopsy results. He says Holmes will likely be arraigned on Tuesday and assigned an attorney then.
