Best beauty products on the market

Go into any store, and beauty products promise to help you look better, but some of them aren't cheap. Some top of the line products can cost you hundreds of dollars, but of course you don't have to pay that to look your best. All you have to do is get to your closest drug store.

From nail polish, to eyeshadow, to lipstick the staff at Allure magazine spend six months testing beauty products to find the ones that make you look your best. Their annual best of beauty issue whittles 2500 products down to the top 182.

Beauty director Amy Keller Laird also tells Eyewitness News that this year they added a category on men's grooming. The fastest growing category in the beauty industry. Two products stood out. Nivea for men Energizing face scrub.

Eyewitness News also combed through their product list for some of the best buys for your wallet - things you can get at your corner drug store and found three.

  • Cover Girl outlast all-day liquid makeup, a two in one product that costs only $8.99
  • Tresseme tres two extra hold hair spray. It costs $3.99.

    Their list also includes products that are the results of breakthroughs in beauty technology.
