Stocks close mixed on bailout clash

Stock prices closed mixed as investors wait for word on the fate of the financial rescue package.After opening lower, the Dow gained 118 points to 11,140. It was down more than 2 percent this week.

The S&P rose nearly 4 points to 1,213, with a weekly decline of about 4 percent.

The Nadsaq composite fell 3 points to 2,183.

Declining issues held a 2 to 1 lead over advancing stocks.

Some 5 billion shares were traded on the NYSE. Nasdaq stock market volume was 1.9 billion shares.

Crude futures fell $1.13 to settle at $106.89.
