Behind the scenes at Palin preps

WASHINGTON

The campaign says she's been getting advice from McCain's top campaign strategist, and from other campaign advisers.

Palin told CBS' Katie Couric that she has "quite a few people" who are giving her "information about the record of Obama and Biden." And she says the choice will be clear.

In another part of the interview, Palin said she doesn't think the media's coverage of her has been sexist.

As for her own sources of news, Palin repeatedly failed to cite a newspaper or magazine when she was asked what she had read regularly before McCain picked her as his running mate. She said only that she had read "most of them." She said, "Any of them that have been in front of me all these years." She added, "Alaska isn't a foreign country," where it might be hard to keep in touch with goings-on in Washington.
