Booker settles Newark police battle

A legal battle over control of the Newark Police Department appears to have been settled.Mayor Cory Booker on Tuesday announced that police director Garry McCarthy will get complete control of operations.

Police chief Anthony Campos will be moved to a policy-oriented job.

The decision ends a lawsuit brought against MccCrthy by the union representing high-ranking officers.
