Woman critically injured in NJ fire

A woman was found critically injured in a fire that tore through a Jersey City apartment building. Eyewitness News is told the woman was found unconscious inside 83 Woodlawn Avenue by firefighters.

She was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition.

Firefighters battled heavy flames shooting through the roof of the two story apartment building. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Authorities are investigating if the woman was injured before the fire started.
