The force of the crash sent some of the construction debris onto the roadway.
None of the cars on the roadway were hit, and no injuries were reported.
But construction crews have to clean up the debris on the parkway.
And the state DOT has to assess the structural integrity of the overpass currently under construction.
Northbound lanes were closed at the 246th Street exit, and traffic was diverted onto local streets.
The closure was expected to last through the afternoon commute.
Southbound lanes remained open, but rubbernecking was expected.
