Bonus time for NYC high schools

November 14, 2008 2:50:08 PM PST
More than 8 million dollars in performance bonuses were announced for teachers and administrators at 58 New York City high schools.

At most schools where teachers earned bonuses, they'll get either $3000 each or $1,500 each. That's from private funds.

Principals get up to $25,000 from public money.

Bonuses are based on school progress reports that came out Wednesday.

Those grades, A to F, are largely tied to changes in student test scores.
