Cyclist killed in hit and run

A bicyclist was fatally struck in the Hunts Point section of the Bronx by a truck that fled the scene, according to police. The victim, a man in his 20's, was struck at the intersection of Truxton Street and Randall Avenue at around 6:15 a.m.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators say there were few if any witnesses.

Authorities were looking for a box truck covered with graffiti that fled the scene. Police say the box truck hit the bicyclist head on.

No arrests were immediately made.

The victim is believed to have work in the area.
