One person was killed in a fire at a Long Island home Thursday night. Nassau County authorities say 51-year-old Jeanmarie Rosalbert was found in a second-floor bedroom in a burning home in Freeport.

Firefighters got him out of the house and he was transported to a hospital in Oceanside, where he was pronounced dead.

The 79-year-old man who owns the home survived the blaze, which is under investigation.
