A supervisor at a halfway house on Long Island is under arrest. He is charged with putting the body of a resident in a car and then setting it on fire.

Christopher Rankin, 48, is charged with arson and tampering with evidence.

The charges stem from a burned out pick-up truck found with a body inside.

The body of 52-year-old Frank Gangel was found inside the truck.

Authorities believe he died inside the halfway house at 318 Washington Avenue for recovering substance abusers.

Another 41-year-old man who lived inside the house was found dead last week.

Investigators are trying to determine the cause of death in both cases.

Rankin remained behind bars pending his arraignment on Tuesday.
