College student killed in DUI crash

A college student visiting his Long Island home for Thanksgiving break is dead Sunday, the victim of an alleged drunk driver.The accident happened just after midnight on Conklin Avenue in Farmingdale.

Police say the victim's car was struck head-on by an SUV.

Authorities say 21-year-old Jason Shein, who was studying to be a doctor, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The SUV driver, Esquivel Persi, survived the crash. He is now charged with manslaughter, DWI and 10 other charges.

Three other people in Shein's car also survived.
