The other driver, Esquivel Persi, survived the crash.
According to the Long Island Press, Persi was crossed the double yellow lines near Conklin Street, and collided head on with the car driven by Shein.
Shein was pronounced dead at the scene. Two passengers in Shein's car required medical treatment at Nasau County Medical Center. A third passenger was listed in serious condition.
Persi faces several charges including manslaughter and DWI . He was already on probation for a prior drunk driving conviction.
