Apartments catch fire in Brooklyn

A fire burned through apartments on the second-floor of a building in the Highland Park section of Brooklyn. Eyewitness News is told the fire broke out inside 3002 Fulton Street just before 7 a.m. this morning. Heavy smoke spewed out of the second floor.

Residents were reportedly evacuated from the second-floor by firefighters.

No injuries were immediately reported.

Service on the adjacent J and Z elevated subway lines was not affected.
