Rice praises Clinton as pick to be top diplomat

WASHINGTON Rice says Clinton is intelligent, loves the United States and has faith in the country's values. Rice says Obama has made a fine choice in picking the next secretary of state.

Rice says diplomacy has changed a great deal and that much of it is done in the field rather than the halls of government. Rice also says it's a challenge to manage the tens of thousands of people worldwide who work for the State Deparment.

She made her comments on ABC's "This Week" and "Fox News Sunday."
