Ex-U.S. Attorney meets NJ biz crowd

WOODBRIDGE The Republican Party's top contender for the gubernatorial nomination should he decide to seek it attended the New Jersey Business and Industry Association's annual public policy forum Tuesday.

Christie says he was there to listen. He says he'll make up his mind whether to run around the first of the year.

Gov. Jon S. Corzine is giving the keynote address at the event in Woodbridge.

Corzine has said he plans to seek re-election, though he has not formally announced.

Christie resigned as the state's top federal prosecutor on Dec. 1. He stood little chance of keeping the job once Democrat Barack Obama is sworn in next month.
