NY bank robber struck across country

NEW YORK The FBI says 40-year-old Eric Manson, an ex-con from Brooklyn, has held up at least 16 banks in New York since March.

Authorities also believe he's struck more than 50 other times across the country, including 41 robberies in California in the mid-90s.

Investigators say Manson has a long rap sheet in New York, stretching back to the 1980s.

The NYPD released a mug shot Friday of a Manson.

He is described as between 5-foot-11 and 6-foot-2, with a medium build and weighing around 200 pounds.

Police say that in each of the recent robberies, Manson passed a note to the teller demanding cash.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call CrimeStoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
