Suspects arrested in West Village muggings

WEST VILLAGE The suspects were identified as Adam Temple and Anthony Lindsey.

Officers spotted the suspects near West Fourth Street about 1:00 Tuesday morning, thirty minutes after a 55-year-old woman was mugged in the area. They were pursued and arrested.

Authorities say the two men are charged in four attacks dating back to mid-November. Investigators are looking into whether they could be responsible for others.

All the muggings happened between 11 p.m. and 2:45 a.m. and the majority of the victims were white women. Every time, the victim was approached from behind by two males, hit and then mugged.

The other attacks occurred on: Waverly and Bank, 11th Street and 7th Avenue, 350 West 14th Street, 30 Christopher Street, 231 West 11th Street, West 4th Street and 8th Avenue.
