Arrest in murder of Bronx woman

BRONX Police said Liz Garcia, 30, was stabbed to death on Jennings Street in the Crotona Park East section.

Police said they had received a 911 call around 3:20 Wednesday afternoon of a woman being assaulted.

When they arrived on the scene, they found the victim stabbed multiple times.

Garcia was taken to Lincoln Hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police source confirmed to Eyewitness News that Garcia was walking with her three children when she was attacked. The children are 4, 9 and 15 years old.

Felix Guerra of the Bronx was arrested on Thursday and charged with her murder.

Garcia had an order of protection against him, police said.
