Cop impersonators allegedly rob motorist

NEWARK Police say the men, in a black, unmarked four-door Ford Crown Victoria, pulled over their victim at the intersection of Crittenden and Rowland streets at around 10 p.m. last night.

The suspects, wearing vests that read "Police," stole about $1,200 from the driver's wallet.

Eyewitness News is told they fled the scene in the car, with New Jersey license plate MG45285.

Authorities are searching for the police impersonators.
