Deployed father sees baby delivered via webcam

LONG ISLAND His dad is a captain in the Air force and deployed overseas and was not able to be there for his birth. Well not in person. However, the staff at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, working with the Air Force hooked up a live internet connection. All they needed was a laptop and Mike was right there alongside his wife Gannon in the delivery room. Every step of the way Mike was there and was able to see Jack came into this world. He is 6,000 miles away and yet so close. The Schaefer's celebrate both Chanukah and Christmas. Jack was born on the first night of Chanukah and he'll come home on Christmas day. His dad is due to return home on New Years Day. Someday Jack will hear this story and get to see what his dad saw from so far away.
