Recession busting deals

It's hard to move in Mamani on Avenue A in East Village these days. That could have something to do with the price of pizza. Prvin Shesh cut the price of a slide in half to 99 cents because of the slumping economy.

And that's just the beginning of recession-busting deals all over the tri-state area.

In Livingston, New Jersey, Nero's Grille is selling a burger and a beer at the bar for 12 bucks.

How about some of the best seats in the house at the Met for 25 dollars (usually $270)? Go to the Met's website and put your name in the drawing on any Monday through May. You'll find out on that Tuesday if you got tickets.

From the Met uptown to Daredevil Tattoo downtown. You usually can't get in one of New York City's top tattoo shops for under 100 bucks, until now.

Michelle Myles owns Daredevil and wants to help people get a reasonably priced tattoo and help some charities as well. A portion of the proceeds from her recession-busting tattoo menu will go to Food Bank NYC.

That's were celebrity chef Aaron Sanchez comes in. A good friend of Michelle's and a regular of the Food Network, one of his two restaurants, Paladar, is right across from Daredevil. He is also donating a portion of his proceeds to charity.
