It seemed like a dream come true for the true-blue Giants fan, 2 free tickets to a home game that he won in a raffle. But with the season winding down and the tickets nowhere in sight, the fan launched a hail-mary call to get his raffle fulfilled.Jerry Weinstein lives, breathes and eats Big Blue. He and his son watch every game they can and follow the teams progress. So Jerry didn't hesitate when he saw raffle tickets for sale at a Verizon booth at a local fair last October.

Jerry told 7 On Your Side's Tappy Phillips, "They had a big sign, fill out a raffle and win your choice of New York Giants or Jets game."

And to Jerry's surprise, he had the winning ticket, "We couldn't believe we won. We were very excited about it."

Jerry was told the tickets would arrive in about 10 days. When they didn't, he called his Verizon raffle rep and was promised the tickets were on the way. But they still didn't show up.

"There were only about 3 or 4 games left," said Jerry. "I kept calling. I got nowhere. No tickets ever came and that was it."

So Jerry called for Seven on his Side. And within days Jerry couldn't believe it when the tickets arrived, "Yesterday by messenger, hand delivered."

There they were, two tickets to the Giants last regular season home game versus the Carolina Panthers, a big overtime victory for big blue.

But it all came too late for Jerry. The game was on the first night of Hanukkah and Jerry gave the tickets away.

Verizon told us the raffle was done by an outside marketing agency and for some reason Jerry wasn't on the list of winners. Jerry is just glad the episode is over, "Thank you very much."
